The Administrative Core will provide partial salary support for a grant administrator at each institution. These two administrators have collaborated successfully in the generation of this (complex) linked application, and will be an information resource and bridge by which other investigators at MSM or Emory can build collaborative grant applications. Rather than creating new positions, we felt a wiser use of resources was to utilize existing, proven structures and personnel to most efficiently guide the day-to-day operations of grant activities.
