英文摘要
Description:The rise of the Internet of Things (IoT) demands sustainable power solutions. Traditional batteries, with their environmental concerns and limited lifespans, are not ideal. This project explores the potential of next-generation photovoltaics, particularly dye-sensitized solar cells, as a sustainable power source for IoT devices.Objectives:Low-light Performance: Harness the unique low-light energy harvesting capabilities of organic, perovskite, and dye-sensitized solar cells to ensure consistent power supply to IoT devices, even in sub-optimal lighting conditions.Module Development: Design and manufacture energy-harvesting solar cell modules tailored for IoT applications. These modules will prioritize efficiency, durability, and adaptability to various device configurations.Real-world Integration: Collaborate with electronic engineers to integrate the developed photovoltaic modules into actual IoT devices, ensuring seamless energy supply and device functionality.Cross-disciplinary Collaboration: Engage in a dynamic research environment, leveraging expertise from the ATIP and GENERATION projects, and partnering institutions like Swansea University, Imperial College London, and Oxford University.Outcomes:Development of efficient dye-sensitized solar cells optimized for low-light conditions.Creation of adaptable solar modules for diverse IoT devices.
