The primary research interest is to uncover (1) how and why Chechen and Azerbaijani transnational activists create and sustain networks. This inquiry includes the following sub-questions: (2) what role do emotions play in transnational activist networks, and (3) whatnarratives are produced in Chechen and Azeri activist communities?
