英文摘要
The objective of this study is to design and develop highly efficient and stable batteries through micro-and nano-architectured metamaterials enabled by additive manufacturing. The hierarchical design of lattices at micro and nano-scales decouples historically linked macroscopic properties such as strength, diffusivity and density, and allows for programming desired material properties. The study will investigate a range of 3D printing techniques to fabricate micro and nano-scale architectures, utilizing in-house nanoengineered feedstocks to discover materials with enhanced performance and mechanical stability. Multiscale and Multiphysics modelling approaches will be combined with Machine Learning tools to predict properties and enable the inverse design of metamaterials. The outcome of this research will enable the design of structured high-performance energy storage materials that meet modern electronic devices' requirements.
