I propose an investigation of the potential for contemporary theatre practices to disrupt social narratives of intergenerational separation and conflict, in the context of an urgent need for collaborative engagement with the earth crisis. My proposal draws on participative contemporary theatre and community-based theatre practices in the UK, with the aim of applying theoretical frameworks and intersectional artistic strategies to the development of development of a model for practice. In drawing attention to the value of intergenerational dialogue, this research has the potential to make a significant contribution to future practice and research in both theatre and environmental studies..
