This subproject is one of many research subprojects utilizing the resources provided by a Center grant funded by NIH/NCRR. The subproject and investigator (PI) may have received primary funding from another NIH source, and thus could be represented in other CRISP entries. The institution listed is for the Center, which is not necessarily the institution for the investigator. The purpose of this study is to examine a drug called tiagabine (also known as Gabitril) and its effect on the release of growth hormone during sleep. Tiagabine is a drug that is approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to help control seizures. The FDA has not approved tiagabine as a sleep drug. This is an invesitgator initiated study.
