IVIG FOR RECURRENT MISCARRIAGE: RCT

This subproject is one of many research subprojects utilizing the resources provided by a Center grant funded by NIH/NCRR. The subproject and investigator (PI) may have received primary funding from another NIH source, and thus could be represented in other CRISP entries. The institution listed is for the Center, which is not necessarily the institution for the investigator. The objectives of this clinical trial are twofold: 1. to evaluate the efficacy of IVIG in improving the live birth rate in couples with unexplained secondary recurrent miscarriage. 2. To characterize and compare pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic parameters for IVIG pre-conceptually and in the 1st and 2nd trimesters of pregnancy for determination of the best IVIG dosing strategy. With the completion of this project, further understanding of the maternal immune response to pregnancy will be achieved.
