项目摘要
Administrative CORE- Project Summary
The Administrative Core is dedicated to strategizing the planning and implementation of our
proposed partnership. Dr. T.-C. Wu of Johns Hopkins and Dr. Xiaowu Pang of Howard
University will lead the development of the program and its pilot projects as Co-Principle
Investigators. Leadership retreats will be established wherein expert advisors from our Internal
Advisory Committee and Scientific Review Committee as well as ad-hoc consultants will steer
the direction of the projects and overall partnership. The partnership will help to address barriers
and disparities in cancer health, health education, and health-related professions. Transfer of
cancer research knowledge and skills from the extensive established activities at Johns Hopkins
to the minority-serving institution will greatly improve Howard University's research capacities.
Extensive planning and administrative activates including emails, in-person meetings,
teleconferences, seminars, and workshops will aid in the planning process. The proposed
partnership has the strong support of leaders from both universities.
