项目摘要
PROJECT SUMMARY / ABSTRACT
This application is a request for an Undergraduate Research (diversity) Supplement (URS) for Mr. Emeryc
Sogbossi. The supplement aims to provide mentorship, training, and advance research experience for an
undergraduate student through an NHLBI-funded study titled: Community Mobilization for Improved Clean
Cookstove Uptake, Household Air Pollution Reduction, and Hypertension Prevention (R01HL157091). Within
the scope of Dr. Ogedegbe’s R01, Mr. Sogbossi’s undergraduate research plan will assist with technical aspects
on the parent study, particularly by focusing on assisting with the training of implementers on the community
mobilization strategy and analyzing the effectivenessof the training sessions. Through this project, Mr. Sogbossi
will receive exposure to the research process, engage in research training and mentorship, and receive
assistance with career development opportunities such as attendance and presentation at one scientific
conferenceper year. The various aspects will allow Mr. Sogbossi to strengthen his application to medical school.
