INFLUENZA VACCINATION IN RENAL TRANSPLANT RECIPIENTS ON RAPAMYCIN

This subproject is one of many research subprojects utilizing the resources provided by a Center grant funded by NIH/NCRR. The subproject and investigator (PI) may have received primary funding from another NIH source, and thus could be represented in other CRISP entries. The institution listed is for the Center, which is not necessarily the institution for the investigator. This study compares immune responses to influenza vaccination in renal transplant recipients who are on a rapamycin regimen with those who are on a non-rapamycin regimen. Approximately 30 volunteers would be in each of the two arms, recruited from the Massachusetts General Hospital and the Beth-Israel Deaconess Medical Center. This will be an obervational outpatient study. It requires two study visits (total) and small volume blood draws.
