This subproject is one of many research subprojects utilizing the resources provided by a Center grant funded by NIH/NCRR. The institution listed is for the Center, which is not necessarily the institution for the investigator. This study that plans to enroll 5 patients at HMC. Patients with cystic fibrosis aged 14 or older will be recruited conditional on relevant pulmonary screening requirements and randomized to a 14-day trial of 552-02 versus placebo. 552-02 is a sodium transport inhibitor which may be efficacious in clearing mucus from the airways in CF patients.
