The primary objective of this study is to assess the safety and tolerability of arimoclomol over six months of treatment in patients with ALS who participated in the phase IIa double-blind study (AALS-001). The secondary objective is to evaluate the long-term effect of arimoclomol on the ALS-specific functional rating scale (ALSFRS-R) and forced vital capacity (FVC) in patients with ALS.
