Test whether the inability of patients to regain normal exercise tolerance after recovery from lung transplantation is due to skeletal muscle myopathic changes that contribute significantly to exercise limitation. Skeletal muscle myopathic changes may originate from either a muscle specific disease connected to the original disease state (mainly COPD), action of the immunosuppressive therapies used after transplant, or a disuse atrophy resulting from the long term nature of the original disease.
