This subproject is one of many research subprojects utilizing the resources provided by a Center grant funded by NIH/NCRR. The specific aim of this proposal is: To test the hypothesis that the ability of low-dose aspirin to suppress thromboxane biosynthesis is impaired in patients with lupus and that this effect is mediated by increased COX-2 activity.
