The objective of this proposal is to develop a multi-scale visualization tool capable of ingesting and visualizing tissue, cellular, and molecular image data together with spatial genomic profile information and presenting this tool to a panel of key stakeholders for feedback. The research tool will be developed as the ImageDx Multi-Scale module, adding to the current Reveal Biosciences portfolio of commercial ImageDx modules providing comprehensive computational pathology services. Such a multi-scale tool will be used by researchers to acquire an improved understanding of the development and evolution of disease. The following Aims will be completed using our Design Driven Development process: (1) Create – 3 iterations of visualization animated prototype interface and back-end development alternating with stakeholder feedback; (2) Prototype – repeat iterative process with functional wireframes; and (3) Sprint - end-to-end product build with usability surveys based on heuristic usability methodology. The end of project deliverable is an ImageDx Multi-Scale module validated with four data scales acquired in partnership with QuantumCyte, Inc. Through user feedback, the module will demonstrate effective multi-scale visualization of tissue, cellular, molecular, and genomic scales. Phase II will add integration with additional data scales, perform larger scale beta testing, and develop SOPs and user documentation.
