Project Summary This is a request for an NIGMS Administrative Supplement to NIGMS grant R35GM119560, to purchase a J- 1100 Circular Dichroism (CD) Spectropolarimeter. Our previous structural and functional studies allow us to design peptidomimetic inhibitors targeting integrin-related diseases such as thrombotic disorders, cardiovascular diseases, and many autoimmune diseases. Our data suggest the helicity of the peptidomimetics is required for its inhibitory function. Access to the J-1100 CD Spectropolarimeter will provide the necessary capabilities to maximize productivity and fully achieve the aims of the proposed research project. Institutional matching funds will contribute to the purchase of this instrument.
