Dynamic media adaptation (DMA)

This research involves the adaptation of various multimedia objects (video, audio, and graphics) according to a specific context in a dynamic environment. Contexts can involve the user (age, personal preferences, auditory and visual impairments, location etc), devices (HDTV, Cinema, PDA, Mobile Phone, screen size, decoders available etc) and the network (wireless 802.11a/b/g, Ethernet, 3G, etc), including session mobility which allows for users to move from one session to another (e.g. watching a movie on a PDA after work and moving seamlessly to the HDTV at home).
