This project will design a wrist-worn pendant that represents the convergence of telecare (fall detection and personal alarm pendants) and telehealth (remote management of chronic disease). The system has the potential to be retro-fitted to 100,000s of telecare systems deployed by an industry partner and to herald a new form of low-cost patient monitoring.
