This proposal is for the construction of the gondola and pointing system for the Spider Balloon borne Cosmic Microwave Background telescope. Spider is designed to detect the imprint of gravitational waves released in the the first tiny fraction of a second of the universe. By doing this, Spider will provide insight on the extremely early Universe, and provide a crucial test for models of the early inflation of the Universe.
