英文摘要
In this project, we investigate and develop novel communication techniques for three families of practical applications. The first family is a wireless communication scenario where signals sent via both the forward channel and feedback channel suffer from random impairments, known as fading. The second family is a UDP-based video streaming application over the Internet where the transmitted packets experience random delays and losses. The third family is a data disc recovery application, where we aim at developing an error correction and communication technique for an online business that provides third-party services for the recovery of data on damaged optical discs (such as CD or DVD).
