项目摘要

Coastal dunes are rare in British Columbia and they provide critical habitat for flora and fauna of conservation significance as well as important sedimentary 'buffers' against coastal erosion and sea-level rise. This research is highly novel as it explores the impacts of large woody debris (LWD), climate variability events (e.g., El Niño), and mechanical restoration (to remove invasive beach grasses) on coastal foredune form and function.
