项目摘要

Geological storage of CO2 is one of the main components of climate change mitigation strategies. If geostorage is to play a major role in managing emissions, it will be necessary to inject large amount of CO2 into secure geological formations. Prediction of the fate of injected CO2 is necessary to develop and demonstrate the storage technology. Estimating storage capacity, leakage mechanisms and risk assessment need knowledge of various aspects of subsurface CO2 migration.
