This research project will aid in testing, proving and subsequent commercialization of an innovative water supply pipe cleaning technology that uses environmentally friendly abrasive aggregate in a dry air stream. This technology removes internal pipe deposits faster, better and at a lower cost than existing pipe cleaning methods. This technology will result in improved water quality to homes and businesses while at the same time creating significant construction, social and environmental cost savings to water end-users, water utilities, and the public.
