英文摘要
This project uses Australia's world-class radio telescopes together with space-based X-ray telescopes to find out how and why black holes accelerate matter outwards in powerful, narrow beams moving close to the speed of light. The project will measure the enormous energy carried by these beams and how they collide with and deform the surrounding gas.
