Manufacturing in Canada has been experiencing significant challenges. Many manufacturing processes used in Canada in the past are currently no longer able to compete against low labour rate countries where health and safety as well as environmental regulations are lax. However opportunities still exist, typically they involve the manufacturing of complex, tight tolerance components made from difficult to process materials.
