项目摘要
The overall objective of this project is to improve the throughput and reliability of existing and future wireless communication networks and to enable the sustained growth of these networks. The throughput and reliability of today's wireless communication networks are limited by the interference caused by other wireless devices. The success of wireless communication in the past decade has led to a massive increase in bandwidth-intensive wireless applications and services, which have further aggravated the interference problem. Unless the research community is able to find novel, more efficient approaches to interference management and mitigation, the effects of wireless interference will severely hamper the continued success of wireless communications and the related industry. Due to its tremendous scope and its many implications, it is difficult for any individual researcher to comprehensively and successfully tackle the interference problem. Instead, a multi-faceted research approach is necessary requiring diverse expertise in wireless communication, signal processing, information theory, protocol design, and networking. To this end, we have assembled a team of outstanding
