The advantages of interdisciplinary healthcare team (IHT) collaboration in healthcare delivery are highly acknowledged in the literature. These advantages include significant improvements for patients, healthcare professionals, educators, and the healthcare system in general. However, the literature shows that despite the wide recognition of the IHT importance, there is a lack of a comprehensive approach for the modeling of IHT and providing a systematic framework for overcoming coordination and collaboration IHT challenges. The proposed research is designed to fill this gap.
