This proposal outlines a request for a digitally capable stereomicroscope that is suitable for the viewing of cellular structures in wood species. Images can be digitized for storage and archival purposes. Two dedicated desktop computers equipped with requisite integration software for data collection, manipulation and archival purposes as well as multiple light sources for enhanced image details and relief complete this capital investment.
