Database and database management systems are central to the day to day running of any large information technology systems (e.g. banking and insurance). Database is a collection of data items related to some big enterprises such as banking information systems. The design of database includes relational data modeling, conceptual modeling using entity relationship (E-R) or unified modeling language (UML), and programing in SQL and/or object oriented languages.
