Tree declines threaten forests across much of Australia and efficient methods to understand and manage the causes are urgently needed. We will test a step-wise multidisciplinary model to determine the causes of marri (Corymbia calophylla) decline, which is currently threatening important ecosystem functions and biodiversity.
