This project will adapt a comprehensive model of a dry reforming reactor for converting methane into synthesis gas using a dry reforming process to state-of-the-art catalyst that will be used in a pilot scale plant. The product of the dry reforming process will be fed to a Fischer-Tropsch process to produce clean transportation fuels. The objective is to develop a value-added product from the residual materials of the ethanol production process. This co-product will be a drop in replacement of conventional hydrocarbon transportation fuels.
