英文摘要
Heterocyclic organic compounds are prevalent in bioactive molecules such as pharmaceuticals and agrochemicals. In order to prepare highly functionalized heterocyclic compounds, expensive and non-abundant transition metals such as rhodium and palladium are often employed to build up and diversify these scaffolds. We have developed a mild and selective copper-mediated process that forms carbon-carbon bonds and can be used to prepared functionalized aromatic and heteroaromatic molecules. This proposal aims to extend this methodology to targets that are of particular interest to SV ChemBioTech in order to streamline synthesis and reduce production costs.
