英文摘要
Groupe Horticole Ledoux Inc. (GHL) is a Canadian company working in the field of greenhouse horticulture and related fields, such as heating systems and gardening, among others. This company manufactures products and offers services to improve greenhouse production and reduce CO2 fingerprint of greenhouse horticulture by providing much safer and better performing products. In this context, GHL is always looking for a new class of high-performing products to increase greenhouse productivity, from seeds to irrigation, heating and fertilization for diverse applications. The company approached INRS-ETE with a problem of evaluating microorganisms for the nitrification of ammoniacal nitrogen originating from residual organic agricultural substrates as a means to obtain sustainable fertilization approaches. Thus, the proposed research aims to test the feasibility of using nitrifying microorganisms which can transform ammoniacal nitrogen in the range of 250-1000 ppm into nitrates which can later be assimilated by plants. Hence, there is concomitant treatment of ammonia with value-addition leading to the production of a soluble biofertilizer.
