Alphamantis Technologies is a Montreal sports technology company in the beginning stages of the deployment of a proprietary "Portable Wind Tunnel" system that relies on bicycle-mounted sensors, and algorithms. The company needs help working in outdoor environments, conducting experiments related to 1) static wind sensors and how they behave when objects are moving, and 2) comparison of various new and old computational strategies in development by the company. In this multi-factorial experiment we mount sensors on a truck and a bicycle, and compare sensors and approaches for solving drag and rolling resistance. We will collect field data, and apply computational approaches provided by the company. These experiments will not only help address immediate company research needs, but will form useful legacy datasets what will be owned by Alphamantis and which can be used to inform further development.
