Qidni Labs Inc. is developing Qidni-X1, which is an implantable renal replacement therapy for three million patients with End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD). The core technology behind Qidni-X1 is an implantable nano-filtration system. This system comprises nano-filters for filtration of uremic toxins and water from blood. The problem that the company is facing is how to coat their nano-filters with pyrolytic carbon. This project will focus on developing the best coating.
