英文摘要
Some bacteria inject proteins into human cells to alter human cell function. By studying how these bacterial proteins work, we can learn new things about how human cells function. Past studies by our group and others of how bacteria alter human cell pathways to move around in cells has revealed new insights into how human cells regulate their shape and structure. In the current proposal, we will extend our studies on a new set of bacterial proteins that alter the delivery of human cell proteins to different sites within the cell. We anticipate that these studies will lead to new insights into these processes.
