英文摘要
A cross-dock (or "depot," in the language of this project) stores no inventory. However, there may be benefits to Loblaw in the use of a number of depots as new transshipment points in the Loblaw national supply chain network. Those benefits could be in terms of improved service to particular retail stores, at no increase in cost. Alternatively, the depots may permit a decrease in system-wide supply-chain costs, while maintaining the same service to stores.
