The main goal of this NSERC Engage proposal is to support the remote sensing needs of Fiera Biological Consulting Ltd. (Fiera) in the area of hyperspectral remote sensing applied to wetland assessment and mapping. Using state-of-the-art spectroscopy facilities, the Alberta Centre for Earth Observation Sciences (CEOS) will work with Fiera on the development and data analysis of an advanced field-based spectral library of wetland spectral land cover signatures. Fiera, as part of their drone and spaceborne remote sensing program, will use this spectral library to advance their business objectives in this field.
