Splitrock Environmental Sekw'el'was LP (Lillooet, BC, Canada) has performed several ongoing ecological restoration projects in the Lillooet area at sites which have been previously disturbed by intensive industrial and agricultural activity. Though monitoring has previously been focused on wildlife observations and vegetation cover, here we propose an analysis of carbon sequestration of above-ground biomass and soil. This will act as a baseline from which to compare future carbon monitoring and also allow for a deeper and more holistic review of ecologically restored areas.
