英文摘要
Plexina Inc. is a leading innovator in applied clinical intelligence and clinical knowledge automation. Since 2005, Plexina has assisted its customers through health information technology. They offer the most cutting edge best-practice and evidence-based Clinical Decision Support (CDS) and automation solutions for Electronic Health Record (EHR) implementation. Their flagship product captures and capitalizes clinical team's expertise, accelerates the time to activation, reduces operating costs by delivering more CDS. Up-to-date-ness, security, usability and usefulness of the software system has immediate impact on the quality of health services delivered to patients of Plexina's client hospitals.Supporting Plexina's development and operations (DevOps) interaction processes, the main technical goals of the project is the design, development and empirical analysis of a recommendation system. With an increasing volume of customer change requests, s moving to electronic order sets, the company is facing more and more complex decisions in their CDS maintenance, customization and operations processes. Continuing a former ENGAGE project, the main business objectives of the proposed CRD project are (O1) Descriptive and predictive analytics on the ripple effect of requirements change requests and their usage for issue prioritization;(O2) Resource- optimized issue resolution;(O3) Development process measurement and analytics for the development of key performance indicators and their usage for release readiness monitoring and prediction;(O4) Data analytics for detecting process and issue patterns and their usage for issue resolution; (O5) Design and implementation of a prototype recommendation system integrating results from (O1) to (O4), and(O6) Case study evaluation of the effectiveness and efficiency of the proposed approach. The degree of success of this project is of immediate impact on the timeliness and quality of medical services provided to Plexina's client hospitals. The more up-to-date and evidence-based knowledge is provided, the more successful the electronic health care services will be as offered by Plexina. This is of immediate impact for the supporting company, but the results are of importance also in a broader scope for not only health care providers in Canada.
