As the Personal Area Networks and small local Capillary Networks grow with the proliferation of sensors andmobile devices (IoTx), so does the volume of data traffic and security challenges. One of the uniquecharacteristic of this emerging computing paradigm is the fluctuation of computing needs. In fact, no datacollection or processing is required until the sensors are activated or mobile devices become online. Therefore,for efficiency requirements, network functionalities and specialized services should be delivered and deployedjust in time. In addition, dedicated Frameworks should be developed to enable their fast and real-time update.Based on state of the art virtualization technologies, it is difficult to move applications or functions to differentnetwork segments, mainly because of their embedded technologies and platform association. In addition, crossplatform workload mobility (e.g., from Openstack cloud to AWS or Google ) is still a big challenge.The main objective of the proposed research is to contribute to the development of novel methods and toolsallowing efficient and live on-demand deployment of network functions that will run on IoT edge equipment.
