Aspect Biosystems Ltd. ("Aspect") is a Vancouver-based biotechnology company pioneering the developmentand commercialization of novel 3D bioprinting technology. Bioprinting meniscal tissue is an application ofAspect's technology with substantial potential for clinical application. The goal of this project is to applymechanical testing protocols using the Mach-1TM mechanical test system (Biomomentum, Laval, Quebec) tosuccessive iterations of bioprinted meniscal grafts. These protocols, developed under our original Engageapplication, will determine the suture pull-out strength, tensile strength, and compressive stiffness of themeniscal grafts. This is a critical step in the development of a successful meniscal graft.
