Magnetoencephalography (MEG) is a tool used to assess brain activity. It works by measuring the magneticfields present within the human brain, these fields are causally altered by electrical currents in the brain. Thesecurrents originate from flow within the neurons, the core cell present within the brain. There are at present alarge user base of researchers and clinicians that utilize MEG to assess theories of action perception, to thediagnosis of concussion. The current technology uses a sensor type called a SQUID, which requires a cryogenvessel. In this project we wish to explore other types of sensor technology that do not require SQUIDs.
