This NSERC Research Tools and Instruments (RTI) proposal requests funding for a Dynamic Light Scattering (DLS) system to be used for advancing research in the Center for Biological Chemistry at the University of Toronto Scarborough (UTSC). Four collaborative and synergistic research programs ranging from quantitative biofilm study to biomolecular interactions in protein aggregate formation, as well as development of biomolecular sensors and novel metalloporphyrins as next generation MRI contrast agents for bio-medical imaging and catalysts---will greatly benefit from having a direct access to a DLS system
