英文摘要
Software is an integral part of people's daily lives, thus demanding dependability. This program will produce novel and high-quality theories and approaches to study, predict, detect, and fix software bugs to dramatically improve software dependability. It will have tangible outcomes and impacts which include advancing the state of the art in software dependability research, and reducing the cost of software development, benefiting all computer users and software companies. It will also improve people's lives by reducing the frequency and impact of software failures, which will make work and recreational use of software more enjoyable and productive.
