Observational cosmology is currently in its "Golden Ages'' and is providing us with a wealth of data. New observational windows to explore the structure of the Universe are opening up. In comparison, our knowledge of the physics of the very early universe has lagged behind. Cosmologists are still working in terms of the paradigm which was established in the 1980s. The main goal of our research is to make use of the recent progress in superstring theory to provide improved paradigm for early universe cosmology, and to explore their observational consequences.
