I am planning research on a wide range of topics in the area of theoretical cosmology. Two focal points will be the study of signals of cosmic strings in new observational windows, and the development of a new paradigm of early universe cosmology based on superstring theory. I also plan to work on models of coupled dark matter and dark energy which have a closer connection with particle physics and quantum field theory.
