Blücare Hematuria is the flagship product of Blücare Lab, a Canadian company specializing in chromogenic diagnostic products for cats. Blücare Hematuria granules can non-invasively detect blood in cat urine directly in a litterbox environment - an indicator of a potential diseased state. The primary objective of this Engage Grant is to develop a standard operating procedure to quantify the essential active ingredients in these chromogenic diagnostic hematuria granules for quality control purposes. Blücare Lab research staff will collaborate closely with the applicant and his team PDF at Concordia University to effectively realize these goals. This can ultimately lead to a cost-effective quality control protocol. Moreover, this project presents an excellent opportunity to train HQP by interacting with a local small company on a 'real world' problem.**
