The next phase of exoplanet research is understanding the growing knowledge of the composition *and structure of both the atmosphere and interior of planets outside our solar system; are these *planets scaled down versions of Neptune or scaled versions of Earth? or of a completely different *nature? State of the art facilities available to the Canadian community will be used to measure the *mass, radius, atmosphere, incident flux, composition and evolution of transiting extrasolar planets. *The main objective of the program is to measure, compare and interpret fundamental properties of *extrasolar planets to determine the diversity of exoplanets.
