This program investigates fluid behaviour at small length scales as present in industry and nature, and it explores new and existing methods for measuring physical and biological quantities. In particular, the intersection of microfluidics and sensing technology offers synergistic opportunities that will drive innovation. This program spans projects from fundamental discovery to applied technology development, it will increase our understanding of flow physics at the small scale and lead to sensing technology development for industrial, biomedical and environmental applications.
